    Very nice indeed. Particularly enjoyed 19D. Not sure I quite follow the logic on 7D or 26D but got there anyway.

      7d: day-old heart (letters 1-2) + cavity elevated (letters 3-6) + butt of tattoo (letter 7)
      26d: anaconda's tail (letter 1) + jungle (letters 2-5)

    Wonderful puzzle! 19d is definitely the best clue and the SW corner was quite tough with 18a and 27a quite tricky. 3a was fun to parse and well done on finding the characters sent back in 8d.
